Johnny Turner is a dedicated public servant and community leader from Athens Alabama. He graduated from the University of Alabama's School of Business with a BS in Marketing, which launched his 26-year career in corporate sales. Turner then transitioned to public service, working in the 5th District Congressional office for 12 years before being elected to the Limestone County Commission, where he currently serves.
Throughout his career, Turner has given back to his community through various board positions, including a community bank and several non-profit organizations. He currently serves on the board of Lindsay Lane Christian Academy.
Politically, Turner has played leadership roles as a Republican County Chairman and currently serves on the Alabama Republican Executive Committee and the Limestone County Republican Executive Committee.
On a personal note, Johnny has been married to Amber Turner for 9 years, and together they've adopted a 7-year-old daughter.

As a County Chairman, my commitment is simple: keep taxes low while making sure Limestone County continues to grow and thrive.
Families and small businesses are already feeling the pressure of higher costs. Government should not add to that burden. Every tax dollar comes from someone’s paycheck, retirement, or family budget, and I believe we have a responsibility to treat it with respect.
By budgeting responsibly, prioritizing essential services, and planning for smart, sustainable growth, we can meet the needs of a growing county without raising taxes. Limestone County has shown that strong economic development and fiscal discipline can go hand in hand.
I will continue to stand for efficient government, careful spending, and policies that protect taxpayers—because keeping taxes low isn’t just good economics, it’s the right thing to do for the people we serve.

Responsible budgeting is about respecting the people of Limestone County and the hard work that goes into every tax dollar they earn.
As County Chairman, I believe our budget should focus on priorities—maintaining vital services, investing in infrastructure, and planning for growth—without wasteful spending or unnecessary debt. That means making thoughtful decisions, demanding accountability, and ensuring every department uses resources efficiently.
Limestone County is growing, and with that growth comes opportunity. By planning ahead and budgeting responsibly, we can support public safety, roads, and essential services while protecting taxpayers and keeping our county on solid financial ground.
I am committed to fiscal discipline, transparency, and long-term planning so Limestone County remains strong, stable, and well-prepared for the future

As Chairman of the Limestone County Commission, standing with our first responders is not just a priority—it’s a responsibility.
Our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMTs, and emergency personnel put their lives on the line every day to protect our families, our neighborhoods, and our way of life. They are the first to respond in moments of crisis, and they deserve the full support of the county they serve.
That means ensuring they have the resources, training, and equipment they need to do their jobs safely and effectively. It also means respecting their service, supporting their families, and making decisions that strengthen morale and readiness.
Limestone County is safer because of the dedication and professionalism of our first responders. I will continue to stand with them, advocate for them, and work to make sure they know this county has their back—today and always.

Improving our roads is one of the most important responsibilities of county government, and it’s a priority I will take seriously as Chairman of the Limestone County Commission.
Safe, well-maintained roads are essential for families, farmers, small businesses, and first responders. They connect our communities, support economic growth, and ensure people can get where they need to go safely and efficiently.
As our county continues to grow, we must plan ahead—investing in maintenance, making strategic improvements, and using taxpayer dollars wisely. That means prioritizing projects based on need, coordinating with state and local partners, and ensuring our road funds are spent responsibly and transparently.
I am committed to strengthening our infrastructure, improving traffic flow, and keeping Limestone County moving forward with smart planning and long-term solutions.

Bringing quality jobs and new industry to Limestone County is essential to our future, and it is a responsibility I take seriously as Chairman of the County Commission.
Economic development means creating opportunities for our residents to work close to home, support their families, and build lasting careers. It also means attracting responsible industries that respect our community, invest in our workforce, and strengthen our local economy.
By working closely with local leaders, economic development partners, and the private sector, we can position Limestone County as a place where businesses want to invest and families want to put down roots. Smart planning, strong infrastructure, and a skilled workforce are key to that success.
I am committed to policies that encourage growth, protect taxpayers, and ensure Limestone County remains competitive—so we can continue creating jobs, expanding opportunity, and building a stronger future for the next generation.

Honesty and ethical behavior are the foundation of good government, and as Chairman of the Limestone County Commission, I take that responsibility seriously.
The people of Limestone County deserve leaders who are transparent in their decisions, accountable for their actions, and guided by integrity in everything they do. Public service is a public trust, and that trust must be earned and protected every day.
I am committed to conducting county business openly, following the law, and holding myself—and the commission—to the highest ethical standards. That means doing what is right, not what is easy, and always putting the interests of our citizens ahead of politics or personal gain.
Limestone County is strongest when its government is honest, ethical, and worthy of the confidence of the people it serves, and I will continue to lead with those values at the forefront.
